Why you can trust the answer
Every result comes from published rules, checked by code, with a source you can open.
Matching is done by code
Bursary criteria and admission requirements are stored as rules. We compare your answers against them and show what you met and what you missed. No AI decides whether you qualify.
Points are worked out per university
Universities do not count APS the same way, so we calculate it separately for each one. Colleges do not use APS at all; they ask for a school certificate and some subject marks, and we check those instead.
Careers start from what you enjoy
You pick things you actually do, like gaming, pool or cooking. Each one links to careers, and where the link is not obvious we say why. It is information, not a test.
Scam checks are rules too
Every verdict names the exact text that triggered it. The same message always gets the same answer, and it keeps working when the AI is down.
Every fact has a source
7 of 9 funders are quoted from their own website. The rest are marked so you know how sure we are.
Your details stay with you
No ID numbers, no banking details. Income is a band, never an exact figure. What you type is kept on your phone, and you can clear it from the bottom of any page.
What it cannot do
It is not an application. We tell you what you match. You still apply on each funder's and institution's own site.
Meeting the minimum is not a guaranteed place. Popular courses take the strongest applicants. We tell you whether you clear the published bar, not whether you will be selected.
We only list funders we can actually check. Where a bursary depends on union membership, a school nomination, or criteria nobody publishes, we leave it out rather than guess.
Criteria change. Each entry shows when we last checked it. If a funder's own site disagrees with us, the funder is right.
Some requirements we deliberately do not ask about. A few bursaries use race or other personal characteristics. That is sensitive information under POPIA, so we do not collect it; we show you the requirement and let you judge.
